Payment amounts are entirely based upon the affordability of each customer and depends on each customers income and financial commitments. It is essential that these payments are both affordable for the customer and sustainable for the duration of their solution term.
Once completing the fact find we will be able to give you the options available to you in your current situation. Depending on what plan is best for you will determine the length of the plan you are in and how much you will pay. Most plans will take 4-6 weeks to set up and through that period your creditors will be informed that you are requesting help with your current financial situation by the administration team acting on your behalf. We understand some clients need this acted on quicker so we look to facilitate the help within 24 hours in order to speed this process up for each individual.
Depending equity in the property against your debt level will allow us to work out what the best plan is, it may even be advised that a secured loan is the best option in order to stop increasing interest and charges. In an IVA your property could be protected if your debt level out weights your equity, but if payments are missed then you would risk the chance of loosing your home as creditors would see this as a breach of contract.
An IVA can last 60-72 Months depending if you are a home owner and Debt level, a Trust Deed (Scotland only) 48-72 Months, a Debt Management Plan, Debt Relief Order and Bankruptcy could last for the period of time depending on the Debt level of the individual and in some cases this could be a one off payment.
Creditors still have a duty to provide the customer with regular account statements, so contact will continue in this manner but they will however be stopped from pursuing payments from customer once in the plan. You will get contact from the legal body dealing with your case to keep you informed.

A debt advisor will contact you by telephone. During that telephone call, the debt advisor will discuss your options in more detail. All solutions are subject to acceptance and eligibility. Further conditions will apply and calls are recorded for your protection. Initial advice is always free but, as commercial companies our partners do charge for on-going services. Debt Write off only applies on completion of the Insolvency Solution and details do appear on a public register. Full details will be discussed prior to entering into an agreement and alternative options may be offered, where considered to be in your best interest. Your ability to obtain credit will be affected for 6 years, even if the solution lasts for less and your assets and property could be at risk.
